I studied at Berklee College of Music (Boston MA) back in the mid 70's. I started as a clarinet performance major and changed to arranging/composition. I entered the U.S. Army and played clarinet and sax on Active Duty in various Army Bands for about 10 years. Most of my arranging (prior to getting into midi) was done for big band. 

My wife Liz, has been a professional musical instrument repair technician for the past 20 years. Her speciality is small woodwinds (clarinets, flutes, piccolos and oboes) although she has been known to repair sax's on MANY occasions! Her day gig finds her as the woodwind shop leader for a musical instrument rental and sales company. She is also a fine clarinet player. She plays E-flat soprano clarinet in a symphonic band in Montclair, New Jersey.
